There is a right way and wrong way to doing things, and even a task as simple as recruitment can be foiled if you do not know how to act properly. There are also several resources that you may use, such as signatuers and pre-written messages, along with websites that you may participate in. This guide is made to ensure that you will be able to operate in a dignfied manner worthy of representing the Gunslingers Corporation.
Tips
1. Proper language and grammar are to be used at all times.
It is universally recgonized that people respect other people who speak properly. Please, be sure to use actual words and proper grammar while recruiting. Text lingo and other such nonsense are not to be used. Always be sure to check your message to makes sure it is coherent and understandable. This is to simply avoid a possiblity to confuse said recruit.
2. Messages to recruits are to be of a self-explanatory and positive tone.
All messages to potential recruits (who show interest) are to be short, simple, and to the point. Do not post the entire application process in a PM. Send them a link to the forum and have them register. if they do request to see the application templates, please provide them with a link. Also, always be supportive of the recruits' actions, no matter what they may be. This is to make them feel at home.
3. Please exercise patience and understanding throughout the recruitment process.
If the recruit asks questions about what to do and where to go, please provide all answer to said questions. Do not show any sign of agitation or annoyance in providing with these answers, as such could discourage the recruit from seriously joining. Slang, cursing, or anything that REMOTELY portrays feelings of frustration are prohibited.
4. If potential recruit becomes agitated or is exhibiting hostile behavior, apologize and clear any misunderstanding that may have occurred.
Always maintain a respectful tone while dealing with recruits. Doing anything short will sully the Gunslingers' good name. Promptly apologize, and attempt to make any feelings known.
5. In the result of a refusal, please keep a polite tone and see the recruit off with courtesy.
As always, be sure to keep a dignified demeanor. DO NOT imply that the potential recruit spends their time in a brothel, or some such nonsense. Such behavior will not be tolerated. If recruit is not satisfied with the clan, point them in the direction of one that would better suite their interest
6. How to remind a recruit to register
Don't push them, the potential recruit may have been busy. Send a polite reminder to them, and always be opened to any questions and/or concerns they may have.
